Ordinary Time is the part of the liturgical year that falls outside of the two great seasons of Christmastide and Eastertide. It is anything but ordinary, but rather a time not only to rest from what has passed, but to prepare for what is to come.

It is a time of striving to become extraordinary messengers of the Gospel that we have been commissioned to be through our Baptism.
