Anointing of the Sick: This Rite is for the seriously ill, the elderly and those in danger of death. A Priest or Bishop administers this sacrament and says a special prayer while anointing a person’s forehead & hands with blessed oil. It gives 5 special graces, 1. Unites their sufferings with those of Christ. 2. It brings them strength, peace, & courage in the face of their suffering.                               

3. It brings forgiveness of sins. 4. It restores their health if that will best ensure their eternal salvation. 5. It prepares them for death.
